About me
My name is Scott Visscher. I am a husband, father of 3 girls, and photographer in the Greater Toronto Area.
I have always enjoyed taking pictures. I frequently remember using those disposable cameras and anticipating what the prints would look like after dropping it off to be developed. Fast forward to when I received my first DSLR (Canon Rebel T2i) which helped me capture many family trips and vacation memories. Over the past several years I’ve become passionate about learning and trying new techniques with my photography. This passion has led me to host a variety of workshops and tutorials in Toronto, as well as having my work featured in juried art shows, galleries and cafe’s.
One of my most favourite things to shoot is the night sky. I didn’t appreciate how much light pollution there was near the cities until I visited a relatives cottage near Parry Sound. The amount of stars you can see away from the city lights is incredible! You’ll often find me driving around rural Ontario searching for dark skies to capture long exposures of the night sky.
Being out in nature, often at night, is a very grounding and peaceful experience for myself.
I am very appreciative for your time to check out my work!
